Continuous Improvement and Innovation - same or different?

by Greg

Please tell me your opinion on the Continuous Improvement Process as compared to the Innovation Process.

Are they synonyms for the same process or are they separate processes?

I contend they are initially separate and different processes, but that both can work together at a point in time. Therefore, there are separate flow diagrams to the Continuous Improvement Process and the Innovation Process, which make them different.

Thanks

Greg
